How to Write a Lorry Sticker Design Brief (Template + Example)

Published 2026 · 5 min read

Final lorry sticker design from a clear, well-written brief

A good mock-up starts with a clear brief. Here's a practical template you can follow before WhatsApp'ing the brief — so the designer hits target on the first round.

Basic business info

  • Company name (full + brand short name if any)
  • Industry / niche (e.g. frozen seafood distributor, last-mile courier, food truck)
  • Tagline or key message (3-5 words)
  • WhatsApp number + Instagram handle (for customer scan)

Lorry specs

  • Lorry size (1-ton, 3-ton, 5-ton, prime mover)
  • Original lorry colour (important — sticker design is affected by base colour)
  • Photo of current condition (both sides, front, rear)
  • Desired wrap spec: single-side, partial, or full wrap

Brand assets

  • Logo in vector format (.AI, .EPS, or .PDF). If you only have PNG/JPG, mention it — the designer can redraw if needed.
  • Brand colour codes (hex/Pantone). If unsure, send a reference website or packaging.
  • Font preference if you have one (or just say "modern", "classic", "playful")

Reference designs (most important)

Send 2-3 lorry sticker references you like (from Google, Instagram, or lorries on the road). The designer can extract relevant visual patterns. References don't need to be the same industry — anywhere is fine, as long as the style is what you like.

What to avoid / exclusions

Mention what you DON'T want — e.g. "no overly loud design", "no yellow", "no slogans". This negative brief saves the designer 1-2 revision rounds.

A 5-minute clear brief = a first-round mock-up that's 80% on target. Saving 1-2 revision rounds = saving 2-3 days. WhatsApp us this template and we'll reply with a checklist + sample mock-up.
